At the 2024-2025 term we offer one class in English and three classes in Finnish.

 FOUNDATIONS OF IMPROVISING 3.9.2024-10.12.2024 (á 2h) + show December 14th 2024

Tuesdays from 16-18 (4pm-6pm)

​

• Content consists of the core areas of theatrical improvisation, such as character building, story telling, scene work. There will be many laughs, you get to know a new art form and some new people and have fun along the way!

• This class is aimed primarily for people with 0-2 years of experience in theatrical improvisation.

• If you have no previous experience of improv, this class is perfect for you!

• If you have a lot of experience, this class is a great refresher of the fundamentals of theatrical improvisation!

• At the end of the course you will have a chance to perform using all the new skills you learned

• Graduation performance on Sat December 14th 2024

• Class payment is 135€ / month  (paid in one / two or monthly (4) payments as a bank transfer)

• No class: October 15.10.

• Terms:

  • The registration is binding and  by registering to the class, you are required to pay the class in full. The full course fee is 4 x 135€ (including VAT 25,5%)

  • If the student has to be absent from the class, Impro Helsinki will not compensate the student for the missed class

  • If Impro Helsinki has to cancel a class, we reserve the right to cancel one class without compensation during the semester (September 3-December 10). That is, if the teacher is sick, the session will not be replaced at another time nor will there be monetary compensation.  If it is necessary to cancel more than one course session, the teacher informs the course participants either of a substitute teacher OR uses one of the make-up-days to replace the course session

  • Make-up dates: Thu 24.10. & 21.11. (19-21)  25.10. & 13.12. (17-19)

  • The replacement day for the course session is decided by the teacher, who informs the students in advance

NOTE: We are concentrating on both comedic and dramatic theatrical improvisation.

This training is not for the improvisers who want to do comedy exclusively!

AMOUNT OF STUDENTS:

• 12-14 (Impro Helsinki reservers the right to cancel the class if the minimum amount of participants wont be reached)

WORKSHOP SPACE:

• The course will be held at Lapinlahden Lähde, Lapinlahdenpolku 8.

• Lapinlahden Lähde is a 10 minute walk from Kamppi and a 5 minute walk from the Ruoholahti metro station.

• Unfortunately the space is not accessible, situated in the 3rd flood.

• There is a kitchen on the third floor, from where you can get water from, and store/ heat up your snacks if you'd like to bring one for you

PRICE OF EDUCATION: 

• 135€/ month (107,57€ + VAT 25,5%). Please express your wish of the number of payments when you apply for the training.

DEPOSITS AND DUE DATES:

• 1 installment 540€ (due date 1.9.2024)

• 2 installments á 270€ (due dates 1.9.2024 / 1.11.2024)

• Monthly deposits á 135€ (due dates 1.9.2024 /1.10.2024 / 1.11.2024 / 1.12.2024)
